2022 Schedule of Harp Events


WEDNESDAY:   Itinerant Women Harpers of the 18th +19th Centuries                 a Living History  lecture dem.   Thym                9 am -noon
    All LEVELS

    Accompanying Early Rock and Roll and Blues with Harp   1 pm-3 pm
The intinerant women harpers of the 19th century sang the pop tunes of their time
and, if they were still around, they would probably be singing Rock n’ Roll and Blues.
Using rhythmic variations, boogie slap bass and other bass patterns, we will focus
on arranging accompaniments for pop, rock n’ roll and blues songs, even on harps
without pedals.  Thym

THURSDAY:                    Harp and Pipe                                      9 am--3 pm
             ALL LEVELS                             (noon-1 pm lunch)
   Pipe tunes arranged for harp.  Led by harper Julie Norem Hawley and 
   a piper from the Spanish Peaks Celtic Festival (TBA).  Music is sent 
   ahead of time.        .
