Advanced Beginner Class
Friday, Sept. 24 - Sunday, Sept. 26

Travel through the music of time and place in this Advanced Beginner Class. Starting with a review of technique and harp basics, this relaxed class will explore the traditional types of Celtic tunes from Scotland, Ireland, and the Celtic Isles. Glancing at the stories behind the music, we'll harp through the beat of marches, the dancing notes of jigs, the silent spaces between the notes of airs, and more, then take our tunes across the ocean to Appalachia where we'll find the subtle (and not so subtle) changes of time upon the music. Bring your harps and any questions (nothing too simple!) and join us for a joyful and fun weekend among harper friends.
